International Artists Management are pleased to announce the recent signing highly acclaimed director DANIEL GRAHAM

Before embarking on a career in directing and writing, Daniel Graham worked in film distribution and film criticism. During this time he interviewed renowned art house directors such as Claire Denis, Bela Tarr, Todd Solondz, Theo Angelopoulos, Alexander Sokurov and Jacques Audiard.

After writing and directing several short films in Australia and France (Deadlake, La Fôret) he worked as Line Producer on the Cannes Film Festival winner Light After Darkness for Mexican auteur Carlos Reygadas. This indirectly lead to Daniel writing his debut feature film as director Opus Zero (Mexico/Germany, 2017) starring Academy Award nominated actor Willem Dafoe.

The Financial Times described Opus Zero as “eerily beautiful...” while the Daily Mirror called it a “...contemplative drama of self-discovery.”

In 2017 Daniel wrote his second feature film The Obscure Life of the Grand Duke of Corsica. Shot in 2019 on location in Malta with award winning British actor Timothy Spall (Mr. Turner, The Party, The King’s Speech) and Swedish character actor Peter Stormare (Fargo, Minority Report, American Gods), The Obscure Life of the Grand Duke of Corsica is a black comedy about a brilliant architect who embarks on a highly unusual commission for an eccentric billionaire.

Daniel has also written original screenplays for other directors/producers such as Blood on A White Deer, a UK/US revenge thriller, and has acted as script editor on several independent projects including Prizefighter. He is about to start work on an adaptation of a true crime autobiography.

Daniel also has in development his third feature film screenplay which is based upon the non- fiction works of novelist Stefan Zweig whose writing influenced Wes Anderson’s The Grand Budapest Hotel.
