Manolis Emmanouel has a main part in Greed written and directed by Michael Winterbottom, alongside household names such as Steve Coogan, David Mitchell, Isla Fisher, Shirley Henderson, Asa Butterfield and Stephen Fry.
Most of the filming took place in Mykonos late last year and the movie is scheduled to be released in the United Kingdom on the 22nd of November 2019, by Sony Pictures followed by a worldwide release shortly after.
"Greed" tells the story of self-made British billionaire Sir Richard McCreadie (Steve Coogan), whose retail empire is in crisis. For 30 years he has ruled the world of retail fashion – bringing the high street to the catwalk and the catwalk to the high street – but after a damaging public inquiry, his image is tarnished. To save his reputation, he decides to bounce back with a highly publicised and extravagant party celebrating his 60th birthday on the Greek island of Mykonos. It's a satire on the grotesque inequality of wealth in the fashion industry.
Manolis attended the world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival on 7 September 2019 and its European premiere, as part of the 63rd BFI London Film Festival, on the 9th of October 2019.
